And so it continues!

Since my last post on the 9th January the weather has been relentless, storm after storm , pouring more misery on an already pissed off community. Over the past week we have seen some of the most powerful storms for over a century causing the protective baulks at the entrance to be smashed to pieces - weighing in excess of 2 tonnes each it gives you an idea of the amount of force generated by the incoming waves. After the sinking of 10 boats it was decided to remove the remaining ones. This has not happened in the past 125 years and is a real once in a lifetime event for the village. Having grown up in the village i am both amazed and saddened by this photo.
